On January 25, 2011 Ronald Gilbertson of Edmonton passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 70 years.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 47 years Margaret; loving daughter Darci (Clayton) Bobinski; three grandchildren: Aaron, Matthew and Vanessa; brother Robert (Mary Lou); two sisters: Doreen Gilbertson and Ella Stephenson as well as numerous relatives and dear friends.
Ronald was a big fan of the Calgary Flames and the Saskatchewan Roughriders so please dress appropriately!

On January 20, 2011 surrounded by her loving family, Maria Medeiros of Edmonton passed away at the age of 79 years.
Left to cherish are her 14 children: Jose, Alexandrina, Antonio, Altino, Mariazinha, Conceicao, Rosa, Helena, Joao Carlos, Adriana, Lucia, Graciano, Paulo and Marilia; 46 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren as well as numerous relatives and dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband Antonio, 5 children and 2 brothers.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter, Rosaria (Jose) Inacio; four grandchildren: Sandi (Miguel) Lopes, Anita (Chris) Yaehne, Melissa and Daniel; three great-grandchildren: Anthonie, Zacharie and Lucas as well as numerous relatives and dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband Joaquim and three brothers: Emidio, Joaquim and Francisco.
Reverend Marinaldo Batista will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday January 19, 2011 at 1:30PM at Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Parish. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum.

With sadness the family of Geraldine Barachina announces her passing at the Edmonton General Hospital on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2011 at 7:50 a.m. at the age of 23 years old. She was born on December 19, 1987, Calamba, Laguna, Philippines.
Anne leaves behind her family: father Virgilio, mother Lorna, sisters: Mylene, Clarisse and Ivy, nieces Gabby and Ayene, grandparents Tatay Otok and Nanay Medios; she will dearly be missed by Tita May and Tito Arnel, August, Mark and Jeff, and many relatives and friends and her best friend Madel in the Philippines who’d been with her in her 7 month journey.
Death is the end of life, not the end of a relationship. Anne will always be a part of our family.
The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to them during this hour of bereavement. Our special thanks to the Doctors, Staffs and Volunteers of Misericordia Community Hospital, Cross Cancer Institute, Community Care people and the Mel Miller Palliative Care Unit of Edmonton General Hospital.
