  1. Ashok! May your soul rest in peace. May Lord Jagannath give strength to Sudha and the relatives bear the irreparable loss.

  2. Sudha and the children: It is with a heavy heart that I write this to you. You all know that you’ve been part of my family since you first moved to the States. Ashok was one individual who worked hard to prove himself to others. He gave up a lucrative career as a Telecommunications Officer back in India to seek out a new life for you, him, and the children. Take solace in knowing that he did well and had the respect and admirations of many.

To the children: I can tell you with certainty that your father loved you both very much. Every time we talked, you could just hear the excitement in his voice when he talked about the both of you. Please know, going forward that he’ll be watching over you as you go through life. I cannot stress enough, the love and devotion that he had for both of you girls.

Sudha: I want you to know that your husband was someone whom I truly respected and cared about. Him bringing you and the girls into our lives was something that I will always cherish and I hope that our enduring friendship continues. You know what I’ve told you… I’m just a phone call away.

Ashok: You’re now with the Ages and will always be remembered for the genuine person you were. You’ll always be in my thoughts. Namaste, my friend, Namaste.

  3. Treasured memories
    hold you near
Silent thought bring many a tear
Tears in my eyes I can wipe away
But the love in heart will always stay
    I make no outward show
To what it meant to lose you
    Only I will ever know

  8. Ashok had a very humble beginning born to pious parents in Odisha, India.

He was an obedient son, a meritorious student, an awesome dad, an amiable colleague and last but not the least a caring husband and the provider. Ashok graduated from University College of Engineering, the premier institution of the state in 1996 and worked hard to establish himself independently. He provided his valuable consulting services to the renowned IT companies of the world in India, Asia and the US. Ashok’s last consulting assignment was for Alberta Blue Cross improving the system delivery for augmenting the public health, life and liberty in the pursuit of happiness. He had big dreams for himself, for his family and for connecting the global community through his work. Unfortunately, it was cut short by a tragic heart attack last Monday upon winding up a great day at work. It simply shows his dedication to the work he liked the most.

Ashok might have missed the early signs of hypertension/high blood pressure in the life’s ignoble strife and daily grind. A good Samaritan of Alberta did provide CPR on the street on which he collapsed unconscious after work. He made himself useful to the family and society at large. Ashok enjoyed life and spent good time with family and friends. It is hard to believe now that he is no more responding to us. He is resting eternally. We are assembled here, family and friends, to pay our last homage to Ashok. May his soul rest in peace.

  9. Ashok was a brilliant student, an amiable colleague, a dependable friend in need, a confidant spouse and a team builder beamer with gleaming sense of humor garnished with interpersonal relationship in organisational behavior insights.
Few can forget his philanthropic endeavours during the devastating SUPER CYCLONE-99. A good Samaritan at heart, an ardent follower of ‘Simple Living & Plain Thinking’ he practised Gandhiji’s dictum ‘A drop of practice is better than tons of Advice’ till the last breath of his life.

A beacon of hope to all his friends and foes alike, a relentless born fighter to the finish, never compromising with cherished value of ‘Service to man is service to GOD”; he is survived by parents, younger brother Biswaketan, sister Mana, wife Sudha & daughters duo Mallika (Tubli) & Mrunalika (Poochki). He will be missed by one & all, the kiths & kins far and near.

Deepest condolence to the bereaved family.
MAY HIS SACRED SOUL REST IN PERENNIAL PEACE AMIDST CELESTIAL BLISS!
