It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Wiebe Neufeld on Saturday, March 11, 2017.  Henry was born on October 17, 1924 in Niverville, MB to parents Mary and Abraham where he was raised with 6 siblings, Ab, Olga, Herman, Wally, Jake and Dena.  Henry was predeceased by his sister, Olga and his brother, Herman.

Henry is survived by his four daughters, Deborah (Brad) Manz, Michael Moore, Moria (Brian) Robertson and Cindy Neufeld (Herb Waller), 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Most of Henry's employment years were with Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada.  He began his career in Creston, BC which took him to Kimberley, BC, Red Deer, AB, Davenport, Iowa, Prince George, BC and finally as a Branch Manager to Edmonton, AB.  He was also a dedicated Rotarian.

Henry's passion for carpentry was profound.  He enjoyed the creativity of working with wood.  He loved the challenge of design and building which he carried on throughout his life.

Many thanks to Dr. Bakshi and staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for your kindness and compassion.

  1. My sympathies for your loss.

  3. Our deepest sympathy for your loss, we knew Henry and although we didn’t see him often we always enjoyed the times we got to spend with him. He was my moms cousin….
    With love, thoughts and prayers,

  4. Our sincere sympathies to your families as you mourn the loss of your father, grandfather and great grandfather. We learned to know and appreciate your father during the period when he made numerous trips to Winnipeg fulfilling responsibilities for his mother and aunt.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time,
    Ernie and Leona Boschmann

  5. Henry and I (Ab Neufeld) where the two oldest members of our family of seven, Henry
was born October 17th 1925 and i was born September 21st 1926 less than 2 years
apart. We grew up together as kids, went to school together. When we grew up, we both married beautiful young women, Adelene and I had five children and Henry and
Vi had 4 lovely girls. I cite all this because our two families always met at alternate
Christmas Holidays. We both had postings as US Sun Life Branch Managers, and at
one of those Christmas Holdays, Henry drove his family from Iowa to Ohio, in a bad
snow storm, talk about a pronounced family affinity. With the passage of time, our children chose their own paths in life, hence with the further distance between us we
did not meet as often, but I gather from the children from both sides they will never
forget the affinity that existed between us. Unfortunately the Devil known as Cancer
made the rude intrusion of taking our beloved Adelene from us 15 years ago, then my sister Olga
was taken from us due to a heart condition, subsequently my Brother Herman left us
due to a long condition and now my brother Henry.
I offer my condolences to all of you, it is always very sad to lose a loving member of
the family.May God bless you all

  6. We can take comfort in the fact that Henry was right with the Lord. Several days before he died he told Ab that he and the Lord were on good terms and that he spoke to Him at least several times every day.
No matter what our objectives or accomplishments, in the end it all comes down to the fact that Jesus took all of our faults and wrongdoings on the cross with Him and they are gone. They no longer exist!
We should all keep in mind that death is not the end. It is merely the beginning of Eternity
This should be a great comfort to us all.
Rest in peace, our brother, in the arms of our Lord and Saviour.

Ella and Wally Neufeld and family

  7. We also take great comfort in knowing that our dearly beloved brother Henry is resting
in the arms of Jesus, our Lord and Saviour.

    Pete and Dena and family
