  3. Your loss of John may lie heavy on your heart, but it may help for you to know that he will be remembered by many. I myself worked with him for four years before he became sick.
It was an invaluable experience, he taught me how to understand drivers and how people can invent jokes. I have some excellent memories and we still tell the stories. Everyone enjoyed his humor.

  4. Phyllis and family,

We are so sorry to hear of your loss.
Know that we are thinking of you.
    Love Cheryl and Rolly

  7. Phyllis and Sauntry family,
Condolences to you all… John was a wonderful fellow..have known him most of his life..he was just a little gaffer when I first met him…had a lot of fun times with him. ….all the memories live on… God bless..take care….R.I.P. John aka Moose as we affectionately called him her at home…

  8. Phyllis,
I am so sorry to hear about John. I understand that he was at home with you for most of the time. I am sure he was much happier there than in the hospital. It was hard on you but nice for you to have that extra time with him.
You managed to have 25 years of marriage together which in this day and age is a real accomplishment.
I know that you will miss him so much but will have many happy memories of those years together, like spending summers at the lake with your granddaughter.
    You have my sincerest sympathies.
    Susan

  10. Condolences Phyllis and the Sauntry families in the passing of John. Hard to believe this time has come. He handled his cancer journey with courage and you were a source of strength and support at his side Phyllis. He was happy to have made the trip ‘back home’ last June. So glad that happened for him. May you find comfort in the days ahead with the many happy memories of the time you shared together. Beth & Bruce
