John William Holowaychuk
April 12, 1941 – March 5, 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of John Wm. Holowaychuk mourn his passing on March 5, 2017 at the age of 75 years and 11 months; after a lengthy battle with cancer.
John leaves to cherish his memory and will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Joyce of 51 years; son Colin; daughter Jamie Lynn (Troy) Dzenkiw and special granddaughter, Kaidence; Sisters, Louise (Gerald) Richer, Janice (Dennis) Leroux, Brother David (Viv) Holowaychuk and sister in-law Diana Holowaychuk, Brother in-law(s) Barry, Jim (Kitty) and in-laws, Walter and Jean Romaniuk of Vegreville. John will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and three aunts.
John was predeceased by his parents; Bill and Nadia Holowaychuk; Brother(s) Louie and Dennis and Brother In-Law Leon Romaniuk.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Walker and Staff at the Cross Cancer Institute, as well as, Dr. Chandrasenan and the wonderful staff at the General Hospital Continuing Care Centre Mel Miller Hospice – 9Y.

So saddened to hear about Mr. Holowaychuk’s passing. I have the fondest memories of him as our softball coach and driving us girls around. My thoughts are with Jamie and the whole family.

So saddened to learn of John’s passing. Among our many fond memories of John were those happy days when he was our daughter’s favourite fastball coach. John always had a winning way with people no matter what age. Although we met infrequently in recent years, we will miss that amiable smile and that warm and friendly handshake. Our sincere sympathies and condolences to Joyce, Colin, Jamie and their families.
Sorry for your loss Colin and family….I know the pain you’re feeling….lost my dad last May. Keep positive and know he’s in a better place with no pain.
