Larry Allan Robertson
Larry Allan Robertson at the age of 79 went home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Saviour on Monday, December 5, 2016 surrounded by the love of his family and closest friends at the Devon General Hospital after a valiant two year struggle with lung cancer.
Larry leaves behind his loving wife of nearly 58 years, Marilyn; four children – Rhonda (Vince) Cairo, William (Jan), Brian (Desiree) and Michael (Shelley) Robertson; six wonderful grandchildren; and ten special great-grandchildren; sister Glenmeta; brother Kyle; numerous extended family members and many close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Glen and Meta; Brother Carl; Sister-in-law Joan and Daughters-in-Law Michele and Margo.
Special thanks to Doctors’ Elizabeth Pungur-Farrell and Scott Johnson; Pastors’ Lyle and Dave; the nurses of the Leduc-Thorsby Home Care Program and the staff of Devon Hospital’s Nursing Station One North for their love and exceptional care provided to Larry and family during his illness.

We first met Larry & Marilyn in 1992 and we became great friends. Although Larry was a quiet man he was always there when we needed help or advice especially when it came to woodworking. He was always remodelling and loved to work with wood and his home reflected his ability to be creative. His death has left an enormous void in the lives of all those who called Larry a Friend.
Larry, Ted and I will truly miss you but one day we will see each other again.
Oh Rhonda, I am so very sorry for your loss! I can only hope that the love of your family soothed your soul. I remember your dad from the Montrose days. He was a good man!
Losing someone we love is the hardest thing we’ll ever experience, but knowing that you have been able to share in Uncle Larry’s life and in his love will hopefully help you get through this time.
I remember Uncle Larry as one of the hardest working men that I’d ever met, but he was still quick to offer his help if someone needed it. Trenton was never the same after you all moved out west. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Even though you are gone you will never be forgotten. We have fond memories of your love and kindness for all your family members. We are sending our love and prayers to your family.
