Margaret O’Rawe (nee Smyth)
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret O’Rawe of Edmonton (formerly Belfast) on January 26, 2016 after losing her battle with cancer at the age of 73.
She is survived by her husband, Hugh, and her four children: Paul O’Rawe, Stephen O’Rawe (Lisa Rochon), Claire O’Rawe (Steve Schick), and Janice Lovin (Jim Lovin), nine grandchildren; Michael, Jaymes, Julien, Aidan, Keira, Rowan, Kayden, Arianna, & Lucas, one great grandchild; Tyson. Margaret’s brothers; Billy and Sean, sisters Maureen and Kathleen as well as numerous other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters; Rose & Alice, brothers; Stevie, Harry, & Patsy.
Margaret will be remembered for her love of her family and devotion to the Catholic faith.

Just to let all of you know that you’re in our thoughts and we’re wishing you all comfort and peace at this sad time. Margaret will live on in our hearts through fond memories of the times we spent together over the years. With love from John and Margaret Bruce.
I will always remember Margaret as a woman full of life! She was the first one up dancing and singing at parties, having a great time. She loved to be surrounded by friends and family. Always had a way of making you feel that you were part of her large loving family. My condolences to you all at this time, she is sadly missed, but never forgotten.
My deepest condolences to the O’Rawe family! Granny (as Tyson refers to her) was an amazingly loving and caring person. She will be deeply missed I’m sure.
May the O’Rawe family find strength amongst each other and friends at this time of sorrow.

Our thoughts & prayers go out to the O’Rawe Family. Wee Margaret was always the life of the party, I remember lots of laughs and great times were had by everyone when Margaret and some of the regulars that have passed before her.
Margaret probably has everyone in a circle and they are all dancing to ABBA’s (Dancing Queen. You will be missed Margaret but never forgotten.
Dear Hugh and family, I was shocked and very saddened to hear of Margarets passing. She was a very special lady and a precious friend to me and both of us, for many, many years, We fondly remember our times together. I give thanks that her path in life crossed mine, because she touched me very much by her gentle spirit, her sence of humor, Her strong faith and her love and devotion to you Hugh and her family. She was so very proud of each and every one of you and often spoke of how blessed she was and how much you all ment to her. I send my deepest condolences and I tell you It is my strong belief that those we love that leave us, are always close in our hearts and memories , but they walk beside us as guardian angels. Can’t believe she’s gone ,The last words she said to me “You know I love you”.I will never forget that as it’s such a comfort to me. When she was home in Belfast all she talked about was her children and grandchildren she loved you all so much .I hope this is a comfort to you all. I was very sad to hear the passing of Mrs O’Rawe and unfortuately I never had the pleasure of meeting her. Without Mr and Mrs O’Rawe, I wouldn’t have met Janice, Jim, Kiera and Kayden who are just an absolute awesome family! To the rest of tbe O’Rawe family, I send sincere condolences!
My great aunt Margaret we will miss you so much especially your trips to Ireland to see us all. Thinking of Hugh, Stephen, Paul, Janice, Claire and all the family at this sad time.

Dear Hugh, I will always treasure working together with you and Margret at Holy Family. She made my day, with her special, with her gentle smile and caring heart for others. I feel truly blessed to have met her and always embraced her friendship when ever I saw her.
