Vera Margaret (Bennett) Gowans

February 17, 1921 – March 18. 2017

On March 18, 2017 Vera Margaret Gowans passed away peacefully. Beloved mother of, Elizabeth Anne (Brian) Jolly, and John (Jack) Gowans, sister of, Grace Pollock, grandmother of: Allana, Andrew, Brian, Sean, and Amber; great grandmother of: Maddy, Ryan, Connor and Innes; as well as several nieces nephews and extended family. Vera was predeceased by: husband John McLean Gowans and son Allan Bennett Gowans; brothers: Gordon and Kenneth Bennett. A memorial service will be held on July 1, 2017 at 11:00AM at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church in Lachine, Quebec. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Vera’s memory to St. Stephen’s Church or the charity of one’s choice.
