Adelaide da Costa
On Monday, July 9, 2018 Mrs. Adelaide da Costa of Edmonton passed away at age 98. Left to cherish her memory is her loving family; son Manuel (Phyllis), her two grandchildren Daniel (Mandy), Anne-Marie (Daniel) Paquin; great-grandchildren Spencer, Connor, Harrison and Hector. Adelaide also leaves her sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews, and very good friends.
Predeceased by her husband Manuel and by two brothers, Antonio and Manuel, one sister Maria, and by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of St. Michael's Extended Care Centre for their care and compassion and love over the last 10 years, and to the staff of the Royal Alexandra Hospital Unit 5 East for their continued care.

Hi Phyllis and Manuel,
With sadness I read about the loss of your Dear Mom. Regardless of the circumstances, it never seems the right time. I was away or would have been at her Mass. My deepest sympathies to you and all your family. The years seem to have passed so quickly since our days at St. Joe’s, being bridesmaids for each other and starting off into the world of children and grandchildren. I am trusting that you are now retired (well earned is my feeling) and spending as much time as possible with your family. I have been with Fraser for 13 years, living in south Edmonton. Between us we have six kids, seven grandchildren and a very busy, gifted life. It would be wonderful if the future brought us a visit with each other and a catch up on our lives. I could even bring our yearbook.
Until then, I will keep you in my prayers.
