It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce that Chuck Lush passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at 1:15am on June 22nd, 2015 at the age of 66.
Chuck will forever be remembered by his loving wife of 40 years, Claire, daughter Michele (Ryan), son Jeff (Rhonda), sister Marie (Larry McKenzie), brother Gordon (Brittney), four grandchildren, Tyson, Brandon, Natasha, Julie, and great grandchild Kaiden, as well numerous extended family and friends, and brothers of Teamsters local 362. Chuck was predeceased by his parents Percy and Edith.
Chuck was born in Edmonton on July 12, 1948 and made Edmonton his lifetime home. He was a loving husband, super dad, and even better grandpa. He was always the centre of attention with his down to earth personality, and engaging sense of humour. He was generous with his time, love, and just about anything else someone needed. Chuck loved to work; whether driving truck, working construction, or pipelining, he loved the equal parts adventure, and pride in supporting his family. Most of all though, Chuck dearly loved his wife Claire. Together they worked through whatever came at them, and built the life they wanted. He was our “Buddy”, and while our hearts ache over his loss, we find comfort in his memory, and peaceful rest. We look forward to laughing until it hurts, once again!
