Garth Gordon Richards
On July 14, 2017, Garth passed away after a lengthy illness at the age of 63.He was born on February 14, 1954 .He is survived by his sisters Sandra ( Mike) Schneider, Diana (Tom) Buchan, Shirley (Brad) Nickoruk,Leslie Richards and Catherine (Alex) Parnisky. He was predeceased by his parents Alexander Richards,in January 2006 and Gerry Richards in March 2012.Garth was a member of the pipefitters union and had a great love of music.He will be missed by all who knew him.
Sandy, Diana, Shirley, Leslie, Catherine: I am so, so sorry to learn of Garth’s passing. At 63, he was way too young to have left us. I’ve learned a tough lesson with Garth being gone now – I’d promised myself many, many times to visit him at the General Hospital, and just never…got…around…to…it, and for that I feel very sad. We knew Garth from the General and we are saddened to hear of his passing. We shared a love of music and have happy memories of Garth at Folkfest. He always had a smile and warm hello. He was a good friend and is missed. Sending prayers and condolences to the family.

I think I may have met Garth once or twice a long, long time ago. I knew better his sister, Shirley, and to her I extend my sympathies for having lost a brother at such a comparatively young age.
