  18. Kelly:
You are always in my heart as I remember the happy days of your childhood, during the summer holiday visits at our Red Deer farm with Garry. You brought such an extra vibrancy when you joined in with our family, esp. at mealtimes, when it was a contest to tell all your stories.
I also remember when you were 2 yrs. old, staying at Granpa & Nana Swanson’s at St. Paul, and
you and Granpa Gustav were such kindred spirits.
Margaret, Megan & Shelly: Words cannot express my sorrow for your loss.
    Love you forever. Aunty Bernice

  19. Most of my images and memories of Kelly are from decades ago, as kids, when Garry and Kelly would stay with us on our farm. Even when we were kids, Kelly seemed to want to make us all laugh. He was a bit of good-hearted mischief, with a deep smile. I thought Kelly was brave; where Garry might have rushed in and investigated boundaries, Kelly seemed to hold a sensibility and they made a good team. Both were sensitive and adventurous boys – never a dull moment. Kelly could sure tell a good story, and as a little girl, my eyes were often so wide from the stories he would tell!!
Kelly, I’m so sad for the struggles you met these past years. You were taken too soon.
My heart breaks for you, aunty Margaret. I love you.
I’m sending deep quiet hugs to you Megan. Let me know if there’s anything you need.
I know how dear he was to both of you. I’m sure he’ll be with you always.
    with love, your cousin Karla

  20. My sincere condolences to Kelly’s family. I havn’t been in touch for many years but thought Kelly was a great guy. I never forgot how he let my son Lucas play with his model cars. Those were his prize possessions. ??

  21. I had the pleasure of working with Kelly for 9 years at Shadow.
I still remember one of our first conversations was him commenting that atleast I was given a girls name, unlike him (my name is Kelly as well, spelt the exact same way) and me telling him that I had a boys name as I have encountered more male Kelly’s than female.
Even on his rough days he was full of energy, we discussed everything from his passion for snowmobiling, Las Vegas and the trips we would send him on to the boon docks, and being able to count on him to help explain elements I was not 100% sure of while I was training in dispatch. I was always amused with how fast he could talk, and tried catching if he could write as fast in dispatches, without fail Kelly caught it all! Over the last 4-5 years he started telling us about Megan. From their movie nights, to teaching her about Guns N Roses when she was a little girl, and most importantly how proud he was of her and her accomplishments so far in life.
It is with great sadness that he was taken far too soon.
We send our deepest condolences to all of Kelly’s family and friends from myself and everyone at Shadow.

  22. Megan, Margaret, Shelly, Brad and Randy:
It’s difficult to put into words the deep sorrow we feel for you all.
Hope you find comfort in the precious memories you have of your times together.
We’ll miss Kelly’s way of making an ordinary story so hilariously funny.
Love and prayers, Jim and Ingrid

  23. It is hard to believe a year has gone past already. Rest in peace my friend !!!
