Marvin Leonard Huff
It is with great sorrow and love that the family of Marvin Huff announces his sudden passing on February 2, 2018 at the age of 78 years.
Marvin will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving family: Wife, Evelyn Huff; Children, Roger (Jill), Rocky (Debra), Gail Larsen, Sharon Larsen, Norman (Karen) Larsen, Daryl (Rhonda) and siblings Donna (Gary) Beagle, Doug (Bette) Huff; Gail (Doug) Tyssen.
He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grand Children; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Marvin was pre-deceased by his son Robin Huff, brother Merle Huff and infant son Ricky Huff.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday February 6, from 7:00pm to 8:00pm at Trinity Funeral Home, 10530 116 Street, Edmonton AB.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Royal Canadian Legion, Kingsway Branch #175 14339 50 Street, NW, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made, In Marvin's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

My husband Tom and I would like to express our deepest condolences to Evelyn and the rest of the family at this tragic time. We live next door and wish to offer our support to Evelyn at this time.
My thoughts go out to Marv’s family during this difficult time. I have curled at the Thistle Curling Club for over 20 years and up until this past year, he was a fixture there. He will be missed by many including me.

times I spend sleeping over and the wonderful times I had. I know this

A curling and ball stalwart, Marv facilitated a ton of fun for many years.
Uncle Marvin is the reason my family moved to Alberta in 1980. Dad wanted to work alongside his big brother after completing his military service. If Marvin had been living in Kelowna or Calgary or Grande Prairie, we would have moved there. Sometimes one person can shape the course of many lives. We lived with Uncle Marvin and Auntie Evelyn, Norman and Daryl for a month while we got settled and found a house. He gave me my first job (at the Pitch & Putt Golf course) and my sister’s first job (at the Thistle Curling Club). The last time I saw him, he gave me a big hug and thanked my sister and I for taking such good care of Dad. It meant a lot to him to know that Dad was okay. There is now a huge hole in the lives of his kids, grandchildren, friends, siblings, and of course Auntie Evelyn. Sending love to all.
I am so so sorry to hear about Marvin. Have been remembering all the great times that Marvin, Doug & I had when we were children. I still have a picture of Marvin, handing from a telephone pole (he had worked his way to top) – he hung there while I got a camera.
I also remember when Marvin & his wife stayed with my parents – their cat had kittens in their bedroom. My Mother not so happy – the rest of us were thrilled.
Good times – am very sad.
