It is with great sadness that Rick's family announces his sudden passing, peacefully in his sleep.

Rick is survived by his brother Edward, niece Kate, nephew Eric, Jenny, his great-nieces Jade, Paige, Sydney and great nephew Kieran.  He was predeceased by his loving parents Henry and Helen.

Rick spent his career building our roads throughout the province of Alberta.  He traveled many miles.  He will be sadly missed by many.

As per Rick's wishes, cremation has taken place.

  2. I had the privilege of meeting and working with Rick up in Fort Mac about 5 years ago . He was a good man, always made me laugh and I feel fortunate to have crossed paths with him. Rest in peace Rick, you’ll be missed around here.

  3. It’s been my pleasure to work with Rick. He’s left footprints on the many miles of highways he’s helped build. He will be remembered and missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family in this difficult time.

  5. To Ed and family, I was deeply saddened to hear of Rick’s passing; I hadn’t seen him for a long time, but we were good friends growing up -lots of great memories. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
