Robert Redhead Clark of St. Albert: Born February 20th, 1928, passed away in Edmonton at the age of 89, on September 21, 2017.

A Pioneer of Light Rail Transit and Preserver of Transit History, Bob is survived by his wife Nora of 61 years, children Andrew (Heather), Russell (Shanan), Jocelyn (Frank Brunton) and Cameron (Natasha); 15 Grandchildren, and 12 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his oldest son Stephen (Signe) in 1992.
Bob was a leader in many things, but of greatest significance was his salvation through his Lord Jesus Christ, which established the faith trajectory for his family. In Edmonton, Bob was part of the managing team for the introduction of LRT. He founded the Edmonton Radial Railway Society, and the High-Level Bridge Street Car. He was the first Operations Director for Sky Train in Vancouver, and was a founding member of historic societies in Glasgow, Delson QC, and Nelson B.C.

I was living at Gentry Lane in St. Albert and met Bob as a neighbour and the fellow board member. He was an extraordinary individual. His life stories and deep understanding of history of twentieth century were highly illuminating.Hard working, always helpful and exceptionally wise man of integrity…I was privileged to know him and talk to him frequently … Thank you Bob for your positive influence on a number of decisions in my life.

Bob was among the first to welcome me to Gentry Lane. It was clear that he worked to make the community, well just that, a community. I will think of him often as I see the cedar boxes and the little library – all made by him to benefit us all. He will be missed.
