Tim Rosnau passed away suddenly in Edmonton on June 7, 2018 at the age of 65. Left to mourn him are his brother Lorne (Lorna) Rosnau of Vernon, sister Alice Gable of Victoria, brother Rob Rosnau and Shirl Brown of Edmonton, sister Marianne (Len) Sterling of Sherwood Park, as well as three nieces and five nephews. He was predeceased by parents Walter and Tillie Rosnau of Stony Plain, brother Ray Rosnau of Stony Plain, sister Genevieve Marlowe of Edmonton and brothers-in-law Tom Gable and Ron Marlowe.

His career was as a data analyst but we will always remember Tim as a lover of good music and concerts, hockey and baseball, and biting political commentary. A passion for thoroughbred horse racing early in life led him to become an expert handicapper at Northland's and he could always be found ‘at the track’.

Cremation has taken place and a private memorial gathering will be held. Donations are gratefully accepted to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

  1. Tim was a man of principle, strong beliefs with an incredible memory for sporting events like horse racing, baseball and hockey throughout the decades. His memory was so accurate that when he and I disagreed about a fact, I learn to default to his fact and that mine was only memory, not fact. I will miss him as he taught me a lot about life through his actions. Rest In Peace my friend and looking at me from above, he will continue to guide me to be a better person.

  2. Tim and I were colleagues at Leger, then friends. I moved cities and always keot in rouch. I just found out he had passed away. He was a very bright man… we would talk for hours about life, statistics or horses. He was proud of his nephew…the singer and once invited us to one of his concerts in Edmonton. You will be greatly missed my friend. Kenia Romo Gatineau, QC
