Danny Brent Roland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danny Brent Roland on September 2, 2026.

Danny was born in Mannville and grew up in Minburn, Alberta.

Throughout his life, he had an extraordinary gift for bringing friendliness and humour wherever he went. He was outgoing, playful, and possessed an audacious sense of humour that could make even the most difficult moments feel a little brighter.

Danny genuinely loved people. He had a way of making friends wherever he went, striking up conversations with just about anyone and leaving people smiling. Even through life's challenges, he maintained a remarkable ability to stay positive, find something to laugh about, and remind the people around him not to take life too seriously.

He loved football and baseball, but some of the happiest years of Danny's life were spent escaping the Alberta winters and travelling south to Arizona. He especially treasured his winters at Good Life Resort, a place filled with friendship, sunshine, laughter, and memories that he would often describe as some of the best years of his life.

Danny leaves behind his sons Steven and Matthew; his wife Eva Marie, his stepchildren Nicole, Maddox, and Michelle; his brother Dwight, sister in law Tannis, his sister Sharon, as well as countless friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his father Jack, mother Phyllis, and brother Jerry who passed away at birth.

Those who knew Danny will remember his sense of humour, his outgoing friendliness, his playfulness, and his ability to remain positive in the face of adversity.

He made people laugh. He made difficult days a little easier. And he reminded the people around him that, even when life gets hard, there is still room for humour, friendship, and a little bit of mischief.

Above all, Danny deeply loved his family. He would shine his love through warmth, humour, and immense generosity.

That light will be deeply missed.

Danny’s Celebration of Life Will Take Place At Minburn Cemetery on Sunday September 27, 2026 at 1pm

In the event of inclement weather, the Celebration will take place at Minburn Hall.
