Alexander Daniel Wolodko
It is with great sadness that the family of Alexander Wolodko announces his peaceful passing on May 3, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Alex is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joan; his daughters, Lesley (Kevin) and Shannon; his grandchildren, Brad (Miranda) and Dylan; and his great-granddaughters, Marley, Leighton, and Gracie.
Alex will be remembered for his quick wit, always bringing a smile or laugh to those around him. An avid outdoorsman, he loved camping, fishing, and tending to his garden. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, particularly delighting in moments with his great-granddaughters.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal service.
Cremation has taken place, with interment to follow at Tomahawk Cemetery.
In honor of Alex, memorial donations can be made to the Cross Cancer Institute.

Our sincere family condolences for your loss of Alec.
As an old Wolodko, we were cousins, as youth, we spent some time at the farm
near Tomahawk, and later we were neighbors in St. Albert.
It seems like yesterday, but it was a lifetime ago.
It’s been said that Grief is the last act of love for we have to give to those we have lost.
Rest in pain free peace. You will be missed.
To the Wolodko family am sorry to hear the passing of Alex, he was a great man. I know he loved life and the outdoors and fishing as i spent a number off days on the lake with him. He will always be remembered in many hearts and greatly missed.
