Matthew Joseph Lazarenko

I’m heartbroken to announce the passing of my son Matthew on October 29 in Edmonton.

The biggest enjoyment in Matthew’s life was his dog and best friend Bella. He had a passion to learn by reading nonfiction books, listening to podcasts and watching documentaries.

Few saw his strength, generosity, kindness, and empathy. He had the kind of humour where he could easily laugh at himself. Matthew will be missed by those who shared time and friendship with him.

Matthew leaves behind his Gramma Joyce; Aunts Debbie (Ope) and Dana (Jeff); cousins Greg, Brad, Nik and Lacey; his dear friend Marcie and son Joseph. He was predeceased by his Grampa Marsh; Great Grammas Helen and Irene; Aunt Deanna and Uncle Mike.

Son, I’m sorry I couldn’t make your life easier and brighter through your struggles. I wish we could have one more dinner, one more talk, one more hug. You are at peace now. I hope you knew you were loved. Love Mom
