Donald Leo Wohlgemuth
With broken and saddened hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Leo Wohlgemuth on June 8, 2026, after a sudden heart attack at 82 years old in Edmonton, Alberta. Don is now in heaven, praising and rejoicing with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Don is lovingly remembered by his cherished wife, Mary-Ann Wohlgemuth, just shy of celebrating 53rd years of marriage. They were blessed with a son, Greg (Sarah) and he was a devoted grandfather to August and Juliet. Don has always been such a family man, with his unwavering love towards his family. He was generous with his time, sharing with his family by going out for lunches and attending all his grandchildren’s music and dance performances, cadets ceremonies and family camping trips. Don’s kindness was known and felt by all those who knew him. Don’s love for Jesus was very evident in his life, in his devotions, and in his involvement in his church.
Don is also survived by his siblings; Darleen Dixon, Lil Fletcher, Judy Cassidy, Fern (Ken) Kosik, David (Cheryl) Wohlgemuth, and Connie (Ray) MoffatGrenier as well as many loved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
With great appreciation, we say thank you to Home Instead Homecare; Audrey, Jay and Judy for their wonderful work looking after Don and Mary-ann along with all the rest of the caring team. We also thank the First Responders and staff at the Royal Alexadra Hospital for their care.
