Auguste (Gus) Edmond Brodeur

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Auguste (Gus) Brodeur, a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend on June 19, 2026 at the age of 94.

A devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, Gus lived a life defined by family, faith and quiet strength. He proudly dedicated 36 years of service to the CNR, and found joy in curling, restoring and fixing cars and sharing his legendary one liners. Known for his helping hands, protective nature and unwavering devotion to those he loved, he was a steady presence and a source of wisdom. His Catholic faith was a guiding light throughout his life and his love and kindness will remain with all who knew him.

He will be lovingly remembered by Doreen, his wife of 59 years; his children; Brent (Jane), Shevaun (Cameron) and Jeff (Tami); grandchildren Nicholas, Gage, Jackson, Ava, Charlie, Cassie and Sawyer. He is also survived by his siblings; Doris Tellier, Gerard Brodeur and Claire Chaput.

He was predeceased by his father Charles and mother Floriane; brothers Paul, Raymond, Dennis, Laurent, Rene, Lucien, Roger and Robert, and sister; Mariette.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated
