  1. I went through all your pictures today with dad and found this poem in a book of yours. It had all kinds of poems and memorial information of your family and friends. This poem was one of them and it reminded me of you.

    God Looked Around His Garden

    God looked around His garden
    and found an empty space;
    He then looked down upon this earth
    and saw your tired face.
    He put His arms around you
    and lifted you to rest;
    God’s garden must be beautiful,
    He only takes the best.
    He knew that you were suffering
    He knew you were in pain,
    He knew you might never
    get well upon this earth again.
    He saw the road was getting rough
    and the hills were hard to climb,
    so He closed your weary eyelids
    and whispered “Peace be thine”.
    It broke your hearts to lose you,
    but you never went alone,
    for part of us went with you
    the day God called you home.

    Thank you so much for taking such good care of my dad and bringing him so much joy. Thank you for being such a wonderful and loving Baba to our children and grandchildren. They all loved you so much. Rest easy sweet lady.

  2. Barb brought so much joy into our family’s lives these last 9 yrs. We also thank Barb’s family for welcoming our family with open arms. Her smile and wittiness will be missed.

  3. Dear Semchuk Family
    Thinking of you in these hard times.
    Reminiscing of all the goods times in the past 40+ years
    “Mom” truly will be missed.
    All our love Mike and Julie

  4. I wish distance had not made it so hard to connect with family over the years. I knew my grandmother as Baba from the time of my earliest memories and I cherished each and every chance I had to spend time with her. I recall playing in the backyard when I stayed with her as a young kid; and no matter how much time or distance was put between us she was always greeted me with warmth and love. That love that was always there and could be felt across a continent. And that is what I will always remember.

    Love you Baba, Rest well.

  5. Dear Semchuk Family. May the love you have be a support to each other and the beloved memories you can look back on of your mom provide some comfort. You are in our thoughts.
    Love, Helene and Gary

  6. Words fall short. Every encounter with Barbara over the years, has left me with fond memories. She always treated me with kindness, attention and understanding. My heartfelt condolences.
