Charles Rector Klass
January 28, 1949 - July 24, 2026
Charles Klass passed away, leaving behind a profound legacy of boundless generosity, music, and community service.
Born in the village of Sisters, Guyana, to the late Rose Klass, Charles was the cherished brother of Kenneth, Michael, Sharon, and George.
He was the devoted husband of Angelica Klass and a proud father to four children, as well as a doting grandfather to his grandson, Jordan, whom he affectionately called his "buddy."

My deepest condolences to the Klass family. I have had the privilege of knowing Charles for over 40 years both as a neighbor and a friend. I will never forget the bright smile he always had nor the kind words he always spoke. It was my honor to have know him and world is a much sadder place without him in it.
Like to pass on your sincere condolences on Charles passing. I had a great time working with him at EIA over the years. He always made me laugh and smile with his stories and then his music at EIA functions. He will be missed by many people and all his work with food banks and charities as well.
Rest in peace Charles! You will be sadly missed. You were such an awesome friend and neighbour. We will miss that incredible smile and contagious laugh. So many memories over 30 plus years. The neighborhood will never be the same❤️

Charles my buddy,from the days on the benches of friends Scots. School to your melt down in dentist Allen’s chair to the mangoes we raided as kids to the dances we chased as friends competing to see who could get more dances
You loved to dance and you always won .Not only were you a better dancer; but you never discrimated between the old from the young.Charles was a pleasant soul who could hold a crowd down with a good story and even if it was the same story it was never boring because he managed to put a different spin on an old tale. He was very caring and loyal to his friends and ever so sorry tha we didn’t touch bases as often as we should and didn’t catch up as we had planned. My condolences to your family and may they find peace and some semblance of comfort knowing that he was loved by so many
To Angelca, the children and grands I offer my condolences on the loss of a husband, father and grand father and to the many relatives near and friends of your family. What do we say at a time like this…we simply be there as words become inadequate to express the deep feelings of a sincere loss. For a few decades I was privileged to watch the then Edmonton Eskimos play as Charles and watched many a game and our meeting for coffee, going on the LRT train from end to end and laughing all the world. Our world is now changed, different but the memories will ever live on. Charles my friend, you left many memories behind and we will hold dear to them as they live on in our hearts. I deeply miss you.
On behalf of Leduc & District Food Bank I would like to share condolences with the family and loved ones of Charles. Charles was a strong advocate for helping those less fortunate and created a legacy that continues today through the food bank. Charles has been an honorary board member for many years and continued to support and advocate on the food banks behalf. His impact will not be forgotten.
I worked with Charles on the Board of the Leduc and District Food Bank. It was always a pleasure to work with him. I will always remember his smile, and his good humour.
Charles started the Food Bank in Leduc over forty years ago, and it remains a legacy of his kindness, selflessness and generosity.
He will be missed.
Charles was such a wonderful person and community leader. Glad I was able to meet him a few times while with the Leduc & District Food Bank that he was key to founding. Wishing comfort to all his family and friends that are missing him now. Rest in Peace, Charles.
