Gilbert Olivier Jospeh Tremblay

With broken hearts, the family of Gilbert Tremblay is saddened to announce the sudden passing of their beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. Following a motor vehicle collision Gilbert passed away on August 10, 2026 at the age of 73 years old.

Gilbert was known for his bright smile and his love for his family, friends and Heavenly Father. Growing up in the Village of Zenon Park Sask., Gil lived in many places and provinces over his seven decades of life.

Gilbert loved playing card games with his siblings during regular family gatherings. He was also a passionate member, elder and chapter vice-president for his local Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) and a long time volunteer with St. John Ambulance.

Gil put more miles on North American highways, whether on 18-wheels or two (and everything in-between), than anyone else he knew. Gilbert was a journeyman carpenter and master craftsman – a true jack-of-all-trades.

He leaves behind his three daughters Gilli-Ann Redekopp, Tatianna (Justin) McGhee and Jazmin (John) Ireland. Seven Grandchildren: Chantel Redekopp, Breanna Redekopp, Kira McGhee, Lexi McGhee, Anna Ireland, Henry Gilbert Ireland and Daisy Ireland. As well as three great-grandchildren: Lucas Boisvert, Kayden Erdos and Sophia Reid.  Gilbert will also be remembered by his brothers Paul (Lynda) Tremblay, Alex (Wendy) Tremblay, sister Delia Lavigne and his ex-wife Rita Tremblay, along with many nieces and nephews.

Gilbert was predeceased by his mother and father Blanche and Olivier Tremblay, siblings Joanne/Malonie, Leo, André and Nöella.
