Harry Daniel Kassian
It is with great sadness we share that Harry Daniel Kassian passed away October 22, 2023 just shy of his 86th birthday. He is survived by daughters, Darcy (Steve), Susan (Dean) and son Mark (Dawn), grandchildren Haley (Ken), Jordyn, Aspen, Julian, Maya and Pierce and great-granddaughter Evie. He also leaves behind brothers David and Ernest Kassian. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 57 years, Lora in December of 2022.
Harry gave selflessly to colleagues, friends, but most of all family. Family was everything to him. He often boasted to he had the “three best kids” anyone could ask for, but in reality they had the best dad that anyone could ever ask for. He coached hockey, ball and volunteered for sports organizations in support of his kids and the community and continued to do so long after his kids weren’t involved. He also most recently received a Distinguished Service Award from ABMunis for his almost three decades of service on council at the Summer Village of Nakamun Lake. Harry gave so much to make the community of Nakamun the vibrant and welcoming place it is today.
A celebration of life will take place in the spring of 2024 at Nakamun Lake.
Our deepest condolences to his entire family. Uncle Harry was the kindest and most loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and Uncle. He will be missed more than words can say. Rest in Peace Uncle Harry
Sorry to hear of Harry’s passing. He gave so much of his time to make a difference for kids playing hockey in NE Edmonton.
