Jerry Vedder Schermerhorn

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Jerry Schermerhorn on October 5, 2023 at the age of 64.

Jerry Vedder Schermerhorn was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and spent most of his life in Edmonton. Jerry leaves to mourn his loss his children, Aaron Schermerhorn and his daughter Skye, Brady Schermerhorn and his children Joshua and Lily, Sarah Schermerhorn, Matthew and Sabrina Schermerhorn and their children Sydney, Hayden and Madisyn, and Adam Schermerhorn.

Jerry is survived by his mother Loretta White, his brother Brent Schermerhorn and his son Devon Schermerhorn and his sister Rhonda Brown and her family, his sister-in-law, Rhonda Schermerhorn and her children, Katrina and Kyle Schermerhorn. Jerry also had extended family that was important in his life, Sandra Harte, Pat Schwindt and others.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to his special friends, Barry and Carmela who helped him along his journey.

Jerry was predeased by his father, Vedder (Lou) Schermerhorn and his brothers, Trevor and Rick Schermerhorn.

Jerry spent his younger years as a log truck driver with his father and brother Brent. During the past 25 years Jerry worked with concrete work in the Edmonton area.

Jerry is at rest with our Lord, God now.

No service will be held as his immediate family will hold their own memorial at a later date.
