Jordan Avery Swanson

Jordan Avery Swanson of Edmonton, Alberta passed away suddenly at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the age of 33 years.

Jordan was born in Edmonton, Alberta on July 8, 1993.  She was the first child of Brenda and Lyle, the older sister to Madison who she idolized.

There was never a missed opportunity to sing at the top of her lungs or listen to country music on the radio.  Jordan’s passions included bingo, cooking with her mom, going on drives, family camping and family reunions.

Jordan was an old soul with a unique personality.  She was a social butterfly who loved spending time with family and friends, especially talking on the phone.  Jordan had a pure heart, a great sense of humor and she spread immense joy which touched everyone she met.

Jordan never met a stranger, she never held a grudge, and she found happiness in every single day. “Jordan was a gift that humbled us all and brought us much joy.”

Jordan will be forever in our hearts and lovingly remembered by her parents Brenda and Lyle, her sister Madison and her dog Jasper.  She will be greatly missed by her aunts and uncles David Kluczny, Cathy (George) Ollenberger, Carol (Charles) Collisson, Michael Kluczny, Annette (Neil) Buschert, Rita (Barry) Clarkson, Larry Swanson, Deborah (Lee) Webber, Randy Swanson, her cousins Michael, Christie, and Brennan Kluczny, Paul and Devin Ollenberger, and Melaney Brownlee, Darryl and Shannon Collisson, Garrett and Dylan Buschert, Austin and Emily Clarkson, Alan Swanson and Karen Long, Wendy Davidson and Lindsay Siebert.  She will also be missed by numerous other family members and cherished friends.

Jordan was predeceased by her grandparents Walter and Phyllis Kluczny, Elmer and Jessie Swanson as well as her aunt Gail Swanson.

Jordan will be laid to rest in the Poplar Valley Cemetery beside her grandma & grandpa Kluczny at a later date.
