Leo Krupka, husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully with family, on Palm Sunday, March 29 2026, at the age of 83.

Leo was born in Kerrobert Saskatchewan. He was the youngest, the 'caboose', of his siblings. He headed 'west' as a young teenager to explore a new life and work opportunities. Leo worked building the highway near Jasper. He then headed north to work on the oil rigs. He settled in Edmonton with his wife, Janet, and began a career as a heavy duty mechanic. Leo then transitioned to work with the Edmonton Catholic School Division

Leo led by example, he was a quiet respectful leader. He instilled a strong work ethic within his children and encouraged continuous learning. Leo was a kind, generous, honest, but witty guy.
He shared a love of gardening with his mother, long days in the garden, plowing, planting and harvesting fresh produce. Leo belonged to the Alberta Regional Lilly Society. A devoted volunteer and prestigious Lilly Judge.

Left to cherish Leo's memory are his wife, Janet, and their three children: Audra (Chris), Rhalna, and Narwin. His grandchildren: Rebecca, Tristan, Keaton, and Evans. His Sisters: Louise and Rose. Along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

A special thank you to all the great staff at River Ridge - Memory Care. Everyone knew Leo and will miss the twinkle in his eye and witty comments. He left a smile on everyone's face.

The family also wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the compassionate and professional caregivers at the Sturgeon Hospital for their kindness and excellent care during his final days.

Leo would welcome all family and friends to be a part of his celebration of life.

A Hot Lunch and fellowship to follow in church court yard

Then procession to Holy Cross Cemetery (14611 Mark Messier) for Interment
