It is with great sadness, the family of Margaret Rose Grimson (Cooke) announce her sudden passing on March 30, 2021.

Our mother, Margaret, was a fiercely independent woman but with a heart filled with compassion. She provided unyielding support and love for her family throughout her years. Margaret, born on August 30, 1937 immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Margaret went on to pursue Nursing where she graduated as a Registered Nurse from the University of Alberta School of Nursing in 1959.

Our mother always put family first. She had a smile and laugh that she will always be remembered for.

The consistent, genuine smile is what I remember the most about Aunty Muggs, exactly as you have captured it in your wonderful tribute. Her sophisticated charm always held my attention. From my earliest recollection, Mom and Aunty Muggs talked on the phone every day. A tradition she kept up whether she was home, or in Victoria with Cindy. Sometimes just a short hello, sometimes for much, much longer! She will be deeply missed.

  4. All my love and heartfelt condolences to Muggs kids and their
families at the unexpected passing of their Mom. You will truly
miss her. She was your go to person: your rock. Having known
Muggs since that blissful day in January of 1959 when together
with 19 young women we embarked on an exciting often gruelling
nurse training which also formed deep and lasting friendships.
I will miss you Muggs until we meet again in Paradise, Ingrid

  5. I was sorry to learn that Mrs. Grimson passed away in March. I remember her as a strong, independent woman with poise and very good taste in all things.

My sincere condolences to Greg, Cindy, Jeff and the extended Grimson family.
