December 4, 2020 7 Condolences Print Obituary Send Flowers

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our mother, mama bear, grandma, nanny and gigi (great grandma) on November 29, 2020 at the young age of 75. Our beloved, strong Norwegian mother left us due to the awful virus, COVID-19. She fought as hard as she could but sadly became very tired at the end, in Grey Nuns Hospital, Edmonton, AB.

Survived by her sister Edna (Sonny), daughters Tina (Martin), Corina (Sean), a proud Grandma to Chelsea (Chris), Dallas (Adam), Chloe, a proud Great Grandma to Liam and Layla, a proud Auntie to nieces Stacy, Dianne and nephews Michael, David, Doug and her longtime friend Louise (Dave).

Our beautiful Mom lived a life full of adventures, meeting people everywhere she went and touching their lives. Most importantly, Mom loved her family and friends, and getting together celebrating all things big and small. Her dear friends and family will remember her as a kind hearted, generous and lively woman that will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

Mom wanted to be reunited with her late husband Andre, and I bet they are dancing right now.

Due to Covid-19 there will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in her honor. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to the Breast Cancer Society.

  1. Dearest Margit I’m so sad to see you go, yet proud of your endurance as you fought to survive breast cancer. Sadly taken finally by the horrible Covid. I’ll always fondly remember her jovial spirit and zest for life, family, friends.

  2. Love you so much Auntie Margit. I will miss you more than words could ever say.

I know you and Andre are dancing and so happy to be with each other again ❤

Please give Nanny, Papa and Uncle Con a huge hug for me.

Until we meet again my beautiful Auntie ❤

  5. Corina, Tina & families, I so, so sorry for your loss. I really liked your mom. Love and prayers in this difficult time.

  6. Dear Tina and Corina with Families,

My heart hurts to think that Margit is gone. She was so sick and sounded so weak when I last talked to her. She missed Andre’ so much and was soon going to dance with him again in Heaven, she said.
She was a very special cousin that just loved her family and everyone else so much. She had the biggest heart and was always so cheerful and happy. We had so much fun!
I am so happy that I got to know you all. Her dad, Trygve, was my father’s cousin and best friend growing up in Norway and he was so thrilled to come and meet Trygve’s family in North Surrey. Margit was the perfect hostess and it was a touching reunion.
I am so sorry that the horrible Covid-19 took Margit way too soon.
She loved her children and grandchildren and was bragging about 2 beautiful great grandchildren.
I know we all only have warm and fuzzy memories of Margit and we will keep them close until we meet again.

    Deepest condolences from
Lisa, Leif and Wenche in California
