It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness, that the family of Rose Baron, announce her passing, on April 12, 2018 at the age of 81.

As a grade 11 student, Rose taught elementary at Rich Valley School. In May of 1965, Rose met her  husband Raymond Baron, married Ray on July 30, 1965, bought the lot for their family home in September 1965, and with Rose’s help, built and moved into their dream home in January 1966. After getting settled into their new home, Rose took courses to get her Bachelor of Education. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren, fought breast, bone and liver cancer since 1989 and will be remembered by the many lives she has touched.

A special thank you to the doctors at the Cross Cancer Institute and Norwood Palliative Hospice for their excellent care of Rose during her stays.

Rose will be lovingly missed by Raymond, her husband of 52 years, sons Robert (Karen), Stephen and Ernest as well as grandsons Cody and Nicholas.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, in Rose’s name.

At Rose’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering is to take place at a later date.

  3. Aunty Rose was always a very elegant, thoughtful, and kind person. I always enjoyed her company and conversations when visiting. She will most certainly be missed, but will always be thought of and in my memories.
