Selina Suk-Yee Ho (née Chu)

Selina was born in Hong Kong and moved with her young family to Edmonton, Alberta, in 1974.

Through discipline, perseverance, hard work, and much love, she helped build a legacy of family and friendship that continues to inspire and comfort those whom she has left behind.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Oscar; her son Frank, and his wife Marry; her daughter, Laura, and her husband Craig; and four grandchildren: Mackenzie, Hanaye, Jordanne, and Dylan.

One of Selina’s passions was community service. For more than 25 years she volunteered at CCI-LEX, teaching English to newcomers. And since 2018, she was a volunteer Aquafit instructor at the YMCA of Northern Alberta (specifically the Jamie Platz Family YMCA), having first been a student of the program where she overcame her fear of swimming.
