Wilhelm Gendemann
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wilhelm (Willi) Gendemann on September 10, 2026 at the age of 88 years.
Willi was a devoted husband to Irene, loving father to Katherine, Opa to Alexandria and Logan and a caring brother and uncle. Willi is also survived by his sister Maria of California as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, Germany and the USA.
Willi's kind and gentle nature will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Interment will follow at Northern Lights Cemetery, 15203 Campbell Rd NW, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St John's Evangelical Lutheran Church or to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Uncle Willi was truly one of those people who always seemed to have a smile on his face and a positive energy that made him so easy and enjoyable to be around.
I’ll always remember his love of sports, especially his Edmonton Oilers, his sense of humor, and how much he enjoyed a good laugh.
Although I can’t be there in person, please know that I am there in spirit and thinking of all of you during this difficult time. He leaves behind many wonderful memories and a lasting legacy of kindness, faith, and joy.

Dear Irene, family & friends My sincere sympathies for the loss of Willi. I didn’t know him well but enough to know he was a wonderful man, husband, father and grandfather.
Just heard about Willy and my deepest condolences Irene to you and your family . He is gone , but never to be forgotten
