Wilma Glenyce Hamblin
Wilma Glenyce Hamblin passed peacefully on June 2, 2021 at Capital Care Norwood after battling a long illness. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Georgina Cheres(Allan) of Edmonton, Kelly Heck(Dwayne) of Grande Prairie, Jackie Vigar Wier of Vancouver, her cousin Alieta Little(Bryan) and her best friend sister Gail Quinn of Edmonton. In addition she leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Glenyce was a strong willed and determined woman with a great capacity for compassion and a wicked sense of humour. She enjoyed drinking coffee while visiting with friends and having long deep conversations about various topics. She loved music, karaoke, nature and enjoying life. She touched many lives with her laughter, warmth and smile and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Glenyce will be reunited with her sisters Evelyn McLaren and Carol Mcpherson, her husband Orville Hamblin and her parents Sam and Pauline Weir.
Unfortunately we are unable to have a celebration of life at this time. Instead honour Glenyce by spending time and sharing a memory of her with a loved one. She will be greatly missed.
Rest in Peace dearest cousin. I will miss you. I will miss our long, interesting and “out there” conversations, your sense of humour and your friendship. Until we meet again, Sistar!
