Corina was a dedicated public school teacher whose passion for education touched the lives of countless students. Her commitment extended beyond the classroom as an active member of her church, where she played a vital role in leading youth activities and teaching Sunday school. Her faith and love for her community were evident in all she did.
She is survived by her loving husband, Markus, and their children: daughter Annalies, son Matthias (Haley), and son Alexander (Erin). She is also survived by her father, Henry Boschman, her brother Wesley Boschman (Melanie), and her sister Carla Hirschfeld (Dwight). Corina was predeceased by her mother, Gisela Boschman (nee Magnus).
Known for her vibrant personality, Corina showed kindness and compassion to everyone she met. She had a deep love for music and the outdoors, finding joy in walks through the woods and camping with friends and family. Her warmth and enthusiasm for life left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
A celebration of Corina’s life will be held on October 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Heartland Alliance Church in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Foundation in Corina’s memory.

“But may all who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength.” Judges 5:31
“In shady green pastures so rich and so sweet,
God leads his dear children along,
where the water’s cool flow bathes the weary ones feet
God leads his dear children along.
Some through the water, some through the flood, some through the fire,
but all through the blood. Some through great sorrow,
but God gives a song in the night season and all the day long.” (G.A. Young)
These verses remind me so very much of our dear Corina, a sweet person always full of sunshine, joy and strong in difficult times. I do miss you, Corina!

Markus ~ we are so sorry to hear of the passing of Corina. May God surround you all with His love and comfort.
I worked with Corina years ago at Kensington. She was always filled with joy, even when she was frustrated or upset, and, she always had a moment to listen or talk, even when she was swamped with classwork. We lost touch when I left our hallway, but I remember her kindness and compassion and tried to emulate her positivity. I am so sad for your family, and everyone she loved. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

“ I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”
We wish you tomorrow, dear Markus, much strength for this final journey on earth for your dear Corina. We pray also for your children in the coming weeks and months. Your angel has been called away from you: “On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast… On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples… he will shallow up death forever.” Isa 25:6f. Our sincere sympathies to the Plaum family. Shoko & Andy, Kobe.
I was blessed to have the privilege of working with Corina for six years. She was a master teacher who dearly loved children and who worked with creativity and determination to address each child’s needs. She was always gentle, kind, positive, caring and supportive, not only with students, but also with all her colleagues—a true Christian in action, a blessing to everyone who met her. Her legacy of love lives on, not only in each of you, her family and loved ones, but also in every child and adult who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.
At this very difficult time, I pray that God is gently wrapping each of you in His Love and Light. God bless.
I had Corina as my Kindergarten teacher 20+ years ago, she to this day was still one of my favorite teachers and thought of her often. My condolences to the family, she touched the hearts and minds of so many and made a difference!
Dear Markus and family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers. We would like to express our heartfelt sympathy at your loss.
May God bless you, may his face shine upon you and give you peace.
Best,
Harry and Monica Ortlieb
From the Hoftyzers (Lilly Boschman and family):
Dearest Markus, Annalies, Mattias and Hailey, Alex and Erin, Carla and Dwight, and Wesley and Melanie, and dear Uncle Hank, we were so very inspired not only by Corina’s life, but also her Memorial. Corina exuded Joy and Peace and Grit … and she has left an indelible mark on us all. We appreciate all of her love and hospitality that she and the whole family have shared with us through the years. We just wish Ontario wasn’t so far away.
To all the beautiful kids … you have an incredible legacy to live under and your light will shine so bright!
To Uncle Hank … you picked an amazing angel in Aunt Gisela as a wife and you have raised incredible kids who are now raising their incredible kids. This memorial must have been so hard after already losing Auntie Gisela. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
To Markus … you walked her home to God with such Grace and love. You were so fortunate to have eachother. Your marriage and parenting and unwavering faith are an inspiration to us all. May God keep you in this peace.
LOVE, Uncle Gerard and Aunt Lilly, Stephen, Grace and Andrew, and Gary
I had the pleasure of working with Corina at Kensington School. She was a remarkable educator and colleague. She always helped others. Her leadership positively impacted the whole school community. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
I worked with Corina at Ravencrest Golf Course when we were both 18/19 years old. We had so much fun on the Grounds Crew. We would laugh together a lot. Then I was so excited when I ended up teaching at Kensington with her 6 years later! She was one of the happiest, kindest people I ever met. I loved her laugh. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her husband, children and family. ♥️
Mrs. Plaum was my 4th grade teacher, and though I only had her for a year, I loved getting to see her and saying hello in the hallways. When I got scared of another kid’s halloween costume, she stayed inside with me during recess and told me that I had a pure heart. She was a lovely person, with a warm smile and a kind heart. May God bless her family and friends ❤️
Corinna taught all 3 of my children, and she remains our family’s favourite teacher. She was warm and caring. Our thought are with her loved ones.
She was one of the best teachers I had the absolute privilege of being taught by back 7years ago. All her students saw her as a mother figure. My condolences to her family.
