Herbert Clayton (Clay) Asselstine
August 10, 1935 - October 31, 2025

On October 31, 2025, Clay Asselstine of Edmonton passed away at the age of 90 years.

He is survived by his two children: Colin and Crystal (Clint), brother Lyle (Adeline), sister Marilyn, grandchildren Brandon, William and Naomi and numerous relatives. Clay was pre-deceased by his parents, Ernest and Marjorie, wife, Dallas, sister Dorothy and brother Terry.

Clay retired at the age of 59, after a long career with the City of Edmonton. He was a private person, who valued honesty, loyalty and commitment above all else. Although he was not one to openly express his emotions, family was the center of his life. He cared deeply about helping his loved ones and wanted the best for those closest to him.

A small family gathering will be held at a later date to honor his wishes.
