It is with great sadness that the family of Bob (Robert) Mannerow announces his passing on December 29, 2025 after a short battle with cancer at the age of 72.

Bob was very social and had the ability to make a connection with anyone he met. He was known for his charisma and infectious laugh, and loved to meet new people, learning from them and cherishing these encounters.

He found joy in golf, travelling, music, gym, hockey, watching sports, comedy, sharing great conversation, and of course spending time with family and friends in Canada, Australia and strangers that he met travelling around the world.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife Vera, his daughter Diana, his son Michael, and his grandchildren Elle and Broc. He also leaves behind his mother Fran, brother John and sisters Mary Lyn, Sherry, Susan and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched – in loyalty to his family and friends, the stories he shared, and the love he gave so freely. His family remembers him as the life of the party, who lived by the values he taught – hard work and kindness – while maintaining a carefree attitude.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. For those who wish to honour his memory, donations can be made in his name to the Canadian Cancer Society.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew him.

  1. Bob is going to be sorely missed.

  2. Bob and I shared many fun times. We did a wonderful trip in my custom van to Mexico. (Most people figured we would not make it past Owen Sound which we almost didn’t) I gave Bob a copy of the log book that I wrote which is mostly full of BS but it is a very funny look at one of our many fun experiences. I will miss him.
