Simon P. Robinson
Simone P. Robinson, 84, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026, at the Sturgeon Community Hospital after a brief illness.
Simone was born on July 4, 1942, and spent her early days on the family farm outside of Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. As the second oldest of nine and the only girl, her childhood was filled with family and friends.
Simone met her husband, Syd, in Cold Lake, Alberta where he was stationed and she was staying with relatives. Once they were married in Portage on December 3, 1961, she became an Air Force wife.
Syd was transferred to CFB Zweibrücken 3 Wing, Germany, where Leonard was born. They later moved to Edmonton, where Michael was born.
After a final posting in Comox, BC, and following Syd’s retirement from the Air Force, they moved back to Edmonton, the city she loved. In Edmonton Simone focussed on raising her two boys and worked at Dickinsfield Capital Care for 25 years. After living with so many males, Simone was overjoyed to have granddaughters and took pleasure in watching them grow.
Simone was predeceased by her parents; Fredrick Favel and Jean Anne Favel (nee Aymont), husband Syd, and brothers, Alfred, Jerry, George, Albert and Dale.
She leaves behind her sons, Leonard (Bernadette) and Micheal (Bettina), granddaughters, Patricia and Carla; and great-grandchildren, Brennen, Jonas, and Tarionna.
She is also survived her brothers Richard, Maurice and Desire; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins whom she loved and cherished.
She is lovingly remembered by her companion, Al Good.
A Celebration of Life for Simone will be held at
