Shivon Martin

It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, Shivon Martin. Affectionately known to many as Shiv or Shivy, Shivon passed away at the age of 47, in her home at Dickensfield Extended Care on October 13, 2026 with her loving family by her side.

Shivon was born in Edmonton, AB on March 10, 1979, to Jim and Pat Martin. She brought an extraordinary amount of light, warmth and love into our lives from her very first day on this earth. Left to mourn her loss are her loving mom Pat, brother Shannon, and nephew Brandon. She is also survived by her loving aunts; Linda Sellick, Brenda MacLean, Anne Greenan, Aletha Monaghan, Arlene MacLeod (Pat), Theresa (Alan) Craswell and Lori Chiasson. Her Uncles Walter Sellick, Ken MacLean and Ron Martin.

Shivon was predeceased by her dad, Jim Martin on July 14,2025, grandparents Alvin (Eunice) Hastings, Robert Martin and Zella O’Meara Martin (Roy O'Meara), aunts Lorraine MacPhee and Judy Martin, uncles Vince Martin, Clair Martin, Robert Martin, Bill Martin, Leonard Martin, Hubert O’Meara (in infancy) and Roy O’Meara. She is also lovingly remembered by her many cousins and great cousins who Shivon loved dearly and was loved in return. She will be remembered by a large, devoted circle of extended family and friends who will all miss her. Shivon left a permanent impression on the hearts of everyone who met her.

The family would like to acknowledge the excellent and compassionate care that Shivon received from all the staff at Dickensfield over the past 4 ½ years.

Interment will take place at a later date at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Prince Edward Island with her dad.
