
Allys Nambozo Saby

With deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of Allys Nambozo Saby, who left us peacefully on December 27, 2025, at the age of 60. Allys was the heart of our family and a beloved friend to many.
Her life was filled with cherished moments alongside her daughter Lynn Phillips, grandson Myles Phillips, and son-in-law Chris Phillips. Allys is survived by her mother Mary Muzaki, brother Abubakr Mayambala, sister Olive Wanyenze, cousin-brother David Waniala, god-son Edward Muwanga, and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends around the world. Allys was predeceased by her son Silver Pekke Wamburu and her father Silver Sabunyo.
For over 25 years, Allys dedicated her career to the Government of Alberta, leaving a legacy of commitment and service.
A celebration of Allys’ life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Trinity Funeral Home (10530 116th Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta). For those unable to attend in person, the service will be available via an online live stream starting at 10:00 AM Mountain Standard Time (MST) on the date of the service, with details provided by the family prior to the service.
Following the funeral, the burial ceremony will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery (14611 Mark Messier Trail, Edmonton, AB T6V 1H4) at approximately 11:45 AM. Directions to the burial site will be given upon arrival at the cemetery.
Allys touched the lives of everyone with compassion, strength, and love. Her memory will be treasured always, and she will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
