It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Anne McCloskey, share her passing, on August 4, 2022. She left us, peacefully, at 89 years of age after a courageous and determined battle with cancer. She was the loving and caring wife of 69 years to Steve, precious mother to Tracy (Kevin), Patrick, Garry (Arleen) and Jim, and sweet grandmother to Kieran Becker, Ryan (Robyn), Cassie (Ryan), Connor, Emilee and Pam (Dean) Alix. Anne is also survived by her blessed sister, Lil, and a vast number of family and friends. She was greatly looking forward to turning 90 in the fall and becoming a great grandmother.

Anne’s greatest love was being with her devoted husband, Steve, and various family members; whether it was visiting in her back yard, at Muriel Lake, on a country ride or at many family celebrations. Her loving, calm, dignified presence will be sorely missed by all her family, and they will cherish their happy memories of how she touched their lives. Anne embodied her role of wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt leaving us a legacy of love and blessings.

Special thanks to the Pallative Home Care team, the staff of the University of Hospital and St Joe’s Hospice.
