It is with heavy hearts that we say farewell to our Mother. After a short battle with cancer, her name was called.

Mom was born and raised in the Toronto area however she spent most of her adult life in the maritimes before moving west. She was an avid bowler, loved curling and darts and her daily dose of GH. She had a soft heart for animals and would help anyone that needed it.

Mom spent many years in a career caring for the elderly and her desire to help extended into her retirement as she donated hand made items for babies and the homeless. She worried about them and wanted to help in any way she could.

Our Mother will be missed dearly by her sons Steven (Johanne) Chapman of Ottawa, Michael (Kim) Chapman of Trenton, and daughter Cheryl (Louis) Grisé of Edmonton.

Her passing also leaves an empty space in the hearts of her grandchildren; Bradley & Derek, Cathleen & Curtis, Spencer & Shelby, and great grandson Damien (Curtis). Step children Laura (Randy) Ward, Ken Haley, and Tracy (Jerry) Eisner, nieces, nephews and dear friends will miss her sharp humour and long conversations.

Mom’s journey to what is beyond life on earth will be joined by those that went before her: husband Roger Haley, father Albert Pearce, mother Margaret, step mother Thelma, sisters Peggy & Ellen, and brothers Charlie, Gordon & Albert.

Please consider making a donation to a children’s hospital or the cancer society in Doreen’s honour.

A graveside celebration of life will be held at a later date as she is laid to rest at the Anglican Cemetery in Baie Verte, NB.
