Evagelos Katsiamitas

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, the family of Evagelos Katsiamitas announces his peaceful passing on Thursday, December 11, 2025.  Born on May 5, 1937, in Pithio, Greece, Evagelos was one of nine children and a devoted husband whose warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched all who knew him.

He married his beloved wife, Mahi, in Pithio, Greece in 1961 and came to Canada in 1967 in search of a better life.  Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter and devotion, creating countless treasured memories with family and friends.

Evagelos remained deeply connected to his community in Edmonton, Alberta and loved ones in Greece, Canada, and the United States.  He carried a profound love for family, a generosity of spirit, and a joy in nurturing lifelong friendships.

A loyal and devoted husband, he was a kind, gentle, and warm soul whose presence brightened every room.  He and Mahi enjoyed many trips to Greece over the years, reconnecting with family and celebrating life together.  He will be profoundly missed by his loving wife, Mahi, and remembered with affection, gratitude, and love by all whose lives he touched.
