The family of Gerald (Jerry) Hoshowski (64) is deeply saddened to announce his passing on March 10, 2022 after a very courageous battle with cancer.

Jerry is survived by his wife Cathy. sons Dustin (Cristina), Clint (Kelly), grandchildren Jacob, Colby, and Henry, sisters Caroline (Murray), Judy (Birger), brothers Doug and Jamie (Anna), mother Betty McLaughlin, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, very special aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, and good friends.

Jerry loved his sports, particularly golf, hockey, football, and baseball being his favorite. Jerry was a very competitive person and loved his weekly night of pool with the “boys”. He will truly be missed.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday March 19, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Thorsby, Alberta. A luncheon will be held at the Thorsby Community Centre with grave side services to follow at the Peace Cemetery in Devon, Alberta.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Box 403, Thorsby, Alberta, T0C 2P0 can be made.

    Our dear friend and lake neighbor is gone much too soon.
    Jerry was a very special person with a big heart who was a truly caring, compassionate person and always willing to help others.
