It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Glen on July 17, 2026.
Glen was a professional long haul truck driver for 48 years. His main passion being, heavy haul over-dimensional loads. Glen traveled a great deal of north America, taking him as far North as the ice roads would take him. Glen loved a challenge.
He is survived by his son David Sheppard and step daughters Tricia, Jennie and Suzy, brother Neil (Della) and nephew Kristian.
Glen is predeceased by his parents George and Fran and niece Cassandra.

I’m so sorry to hear of Glens passing. I remember when I first came to Edmonton when we were in our late teens early twenties he would take me out on the town in that fancy red car he had. Le Baron I think it was.

Thanks Glen, for all the fond memories of our shenanigans we did and got into. Those were precious childhood memories …especially our go cart we built that you turn the steering wheel right it went left and we crashed…cherished and share them fondly those times. RIP Glen.

Glen, I was so sad when I heard the terrible news. It really bothered me since I was so used to seeing you sometimes daily at Franco’s and got to know you over the last couple of years. You always were a ladies man lol and everyone misses you. I miss you. It really made me realize how delicate life is . I hope to see you again someday. Fly free xo
Glen was a good man. A friend and neighbour. He left behind a life time of fond memories. His sometimes mischief-making character and laughter will be missed.

Looking back, when I think of Glen, the thoughts that come to mind are… A love of life, trucks, and the road; a big, kind, giving heart; beautiful eyes, and a broad, infectious smile. So sorry for your loss.
Devastated and shocked when I heard the news. Glen was a hard worker who took heavy hauling seriously, and thats what made him so good at his job. He was also quite a joker, loved to laugh. He always helped out when he could. I wanted to drive up on Saturday to wish Glen well wherever he is, I bet he is kicking up a storm with his jokes, alas I can’t get there. My condolences to the family and his friends. Such a terrible loss, and much too soon.
Gonna miss that man, From the very early years growing up, gopher hunting, building forts, through some of the trouble we got into as early teens and staying connected over all these years. truly a lifelong friend.🍻 my condolences to everyone else who knew that big heart
