J.K (Jim) Christensen
June 10, 1928 - May 3, 2017
It is with great sadness that the family announce the death of Jim on May 3, 2017 at the age of 88 years.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Evelyn, children Sharon (Ben) Vance, Wayne (Cathy), Dale (Bev), Allan (Kim), Lyle; 6 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
An informal celebration of Jim’s life will take place on Friday May 12, 2017 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at the Irma Curling Rink, Irma Alberta.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the STARS Air Ambulance or a charity of your choice.
Our deepest condolences to Evelyn and family! I always loved talking to Jim and admired how even after years his memory was still going strong! I hope that his long life of memories gives you all strength at this time! Love Joe and Dar

i am very sorry to hear about jim, he was one of my favorite irma dad,s. i will always remember the ice cream story he told about me when is a kid. i was unable to attend ,as i just found out this afternoon.

My condolences to the entire Christensen Family. My favorite memory of Jim takes place in Mesa. He was always around, liked to visit. Both Jim and Evelyn expanded my knowledge of Canada.. One day he juiced carrots; I’ll never forget that. He and my Dad got along famously. Jim and Evelyn and Mom and Dad got together every afternoon. They had good times
