It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jason Gross, known to his friends as J.G.

Jason passed away in his home on January 21, 2024. He was born in Portage La Prairie Manitoba, October 12, 1974.

He was raised in Charlie Lake, BC. Then after a year at Grande Prairie Regional College, made his way to Edmonton. He was so proud to work for the city of Edmonton. Working there full-time since 2010 and was promoted to district manager in 2017. Jason missed no opportunity to tell you Edmonton is the best city in Canada.

He was hardworking and I'm sure he will be missed by his many coworkers.

Jason will be mourned by his parents, Joe and Bev, his surviving siblings Amie and Brendan and their families as well as his grandmother and extended family and friends.

No formal service will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Edmonton Humane Society.

Maybelline was the love of his life!

A heartfelt thanks to animal control for taking such good care of her for us.

Now they are together forever.
