February 21, 2019 5 Condolences Print Obituary Send Flowers

It is with enormous sadness we announce the passing of Ken Baker on February 20th. 2019.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Pat, sister Brenda, son Tim, daughter-in-law Treena and granddaughters Kennedy and Elizabeth. Ken was predeceased by his mother Marg, his step dad Peter and the other love of his life Tobie.

After retiring from the TD Bank, Ken became an avid golfer. He made many friends at Highlands and the surrounding golf community. Ken and Pat spent winters in Arizona where they made many dear friends some of whom have become like a 2nd family. The support from friends, both old and new helped the family immensely during the past seven months and we thank them so much.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Amigo, Dr. Huok and the amazing staff on Unit 43 at the Grey Nuns Hospital for taking care of Ken with such dignity and compassion.

As per Ken's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or the Valley Humane Society, Casa Grande, Arizona.

  1. Dearest Pat and family,
We are so saddened to hear of Ken’s passing. Although we only met a few times at the Cross, our hearts truly ache for you. We know all too well, how difficult Ken’s battle has been, as it hits way too close home for us Every day, since we last saw you, we were hoping that Ken was getting stronger and that you were down in Arizona. Damn cancer! We know there are no words that will mend your heart right now, but please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers every day.
