Léonard R. Labonté

March 2, 2015 11 Condolences Print Obituary Send Flowers

It is with deep sadness that the Family announces the unexpected passing of Léonard on Thursday February 26, 2015 at the age of 82 years.

An exceptionally devoted family man throughout his life, he is lovingly survived by his wife of 57 years, Eveline (nee Lavigne); his sons: Gil (Shirley) Labonté and Greg (Susan) Labonté; his two daughters; Pauline (Mike) Royer and Monique (Jade) Hicks; nine grandsons and one special granddaughter.

He is also survived by four brothers and one sister and was predeceased by three sisters.

It seemed that Léonard knew everyone, having a gift for making friends easily and welcoming all newcomers with his quick smile and easy manner. He loved to play music and was self-taught on numerous instruments. Later in life he especially loved to play the guitar, jamming at many events throughout the year. Léonard was always quick to volunteer his time; for all of his children's activities in his younger years, for many years with the Knights of Columbus and the Beaumont Seniors Hall and more recently at Place Beauséjour. He will be dearly missed by family and many friends.

We love you Len, Dad & Grandpère. Au revoir.
