Norman Deighton Yellowlees passed away February 3, 2022. Norm was born to Thomas and Kathleen Yellowlees in Winnipeg on December 9, 1931. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Jack and his beloved wife, Betty.

Norm is survived by his sons Richard and Jim, daughters Sandii and Sharon, grandchildren Kristin, Carmen, Jonathan, Jessica, Kaitlynn, Shaylynn and great grand daughters Charlie and Luella.  Norm was a salesman at IBM for 22 years, with consistent high levels of success and achievement.

Norm had a lifelong love for sports and was a pillar in Edmonton's handball community in the 70's and 80's.

Norm and Betty spent their winters living in Puerto Vallarta, generously volunteering to many local causes.

Norm's love for action and adventure throughout his life was contagious and garnered him a massive network of friends.

Norm's greatest passion was hunting and we feel comfort knowing he is reunited in his happy hunting ground with so many of his two and four legged friends.

Norm requested no funeral and instead a gathering in his honor will be held at the Pioneer Gun Club (26225 Meadowview Drive, Sturgeon County) on Saturday July 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM

  1. Norm, there will lots of the boys from the Hunt and Fishing Club as well the Edmonton and Alberta Handball Clubs–to keep you busy talking for a long time. Think of me once in awhile for those games you kick my butt….
